1 Introduction

LS1 radar speed sensor is a new model of microwave speed sensor, which uses

advanced millimeter wave and DSP technology to improve the radar performance, and has some features like small volume, lighter weight, as well as easy operation etc. The special data interface and the function of state control, is very suitable for second time developing and system integration for radar speed products. The very special microwave technology can make it easily to measure the speed of object lower to 1 km/h, it is a good speed sensor with very high cost performance.

2 Working principle

LS1 radar speed sensor works on the k band, depending on  Doppler theory.

When the microwave reaches the moving object, the returning wave has a frequency shift, this frequency shift is proportional to the speed of the moving object, analysis the frequency shift, the object speed value can be obtained. 

3 Function and technical parameters

   LS1 is a kind of static radar speed sensor, when using it, the sensor should be fixed on a position to measure the speed of the target. The speed value measured can be output by the RS232 com port. In addition, the speed limit value can be set by customers according to your practical application. The speed limit value can be stored when the sensor power off. When target speed is over the speed limit value, the sensor can send the trigger signal for your peripheral equipment.

4 System compostion

Basic configuration：

Host：measure target speed and output the speed data to RS232 port.

Except host sensor: including power line，data line，control line，

instrument box etc.

Selectable configuration：

Display unit or palmtop：use to test or configure radar sensor. Without these selectable pieces, you can configure the sensor by pc.
